Zurich Malaysia unveils “Ready for Every Change” as next chapter of brand campaign

Insurance group Zurich Malaysia has unveiled the next chapter of its “Care For What Matters” brand campaign, introducing a new creative expression, “Ready for Every Change”, alongside enhanced travel protection and a new critical illness campaign.

The initiatives were announced by Zurich Malaysia country chief executive officer (CEO) Junior Cho during the campaign launch at GSC Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur, on Sept 2.

As part of the enhanced travel protection offering, Zurich Malaysia has drawn on the global expertise of Zurich Insurance Group following its acquisition in 2024 of American International Group’s global personal travel insurance and assistance business.

Cho said the acquisition included Travel Guard, a globally recognised name in travel protection, strengthening Zurich Malaysia’s ability to support customers wherever their journeys take them.

“The acquisition included Travel Guard, one of the most trusted names in travel protection globally.

“This means that one of the world’s most established assistance networks now stands behind our customers, offering round-the-clock help in more than 40 languages, regardless of where they are,” he said.

Launched on Aug 18, the Travel Guard Pro scheme provides enhanced travel protection combining comprehensive coverage with fast and transparent claims handling, as well as seamless assistance throughout customers’ journeys.

Meanwhile, Zurich Malaysia’s critical illness campaign, running from Sept 2 to Oct 30, aims to encourage customers to take a more proactive approach to their health.

Under the campaign, eligible customers can receive a cash rebate when they undergo health screenings. They will also receive two years of access to Teladoc Health, a global virtual healthcare provider, offering expert medical opinions for serious and chronic health conditions, as well as stress management support.

Cho said the initiative reflects Zurich Malaysia’s broader approach to protection, which extends beyond responding to unexpected events.

“To us, protection should not only step in after something goes wrong. Hence, we are taking a more proactive approach to support our customers earlier through this campaign,” he said.

At the launch, Cho also announced the next phase of Zurich Malaysia’s Urban Climate Resilience Programme, which has been working with communities in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka since 2023 to help them prepare for the effects of climate change.

Powered by the Z Zurich Foundation, the programme will now be expanded to reach more urban communities in both locations.

“Resilience should not be a privilege. It is something that we should build together,” Cho said.

Zurich Malaysia first launched its “Care For What Matters” campaign in 2023. Three years on, Cho said customer needs have evolved, prompting the company to strengthen its protection offerings, improve customer experiences and introduce solutions designed to support people through different stages of life.

“What remains constant is our commitment to care for what matters the most. This is what we mean when we say ‘Ready For Every Change’,” he said.

The latest campaign is also supported by a brand film depicting the lifelong journey of a husband and wife. The film reflects Zurich Malaysia’s positioning as a trusted partner that grows alongside its customers and adapts as their needs change over time.

Also present at the launch were Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad CEO Pauline Teoh, Zurich General Takaful Malaysia Berhad CEO Shamsul Azman, Zurich Malaysia Brand Marketing Communications head Erin Hwang and Zurich Takaful Malaysia Berhad CEO Nur Fatihah Mustafa.
